The city

City of light, Brainport and cycling city

Eindhoven grew out of light: Philips started making light bulbs here in 1891. The old factories at Strijp-S are now workshops, studios and offices.

Today the city is the heart of Brainport, the high-tech region around Eindhoven, with TU/e, Fontys, Summa and the High Tech Campus. You can cycle everywhere, even over the floating Hovenring.

Working in Eindhoven: what you need to know

Eindhoven is the fifth largest city in the Netherlands and the centre of Brainport, one of Europe’s most important technology regions. You can see that in the jobs: lots of work in production, tech and logistics, but also in IT, engineering, healthcare, education and hospitality.

Werkenineindhoven.nl brings together jobs from the city and the surrounding municipalities, such as Veldhoven, Best, Son en Breugel, Nuenen, Geldrop-Mierlo and Helmond. You’ll find part-time and full-time work here, from starters without a diploma to experienced HBO and university (WO) professionals.

Searching and applying is free. Employers from the region post their jobs directly, and many jobs come from APS Personeelservices, the personal employment agency from Nuenen, Son and Schijndel.
